Using FastFrame

The Search Bar

The search bar is located on nearly every page in FastFrame and is what allows you to find what you are looking for (hopefully!).

On the right is a picture of the advanced search tool. It can be accessed by going to any list page and clicking on “More Search Options.” Let’s step through each feature:

  • The first text box allows you to change the number of results that are displayed on each page. For example, if you wanted to print off the whole list you could change this to a huge number so that all results are displayed.
  • Next is a dropdown box that allows you to navigate the pages of results (assuming there’s more than one page of course). You can also you use the “Next” and “Previous” links at the bottom of each list to perform this function.
  • Next down is where you actually enter what you are searching for. Some things to know: you can enter partial words (i.e. search for “app” will still find “apple”), you can search for dates by entering them in the format of mm/dd/yyyy and you can search a date range by entering it in the form of mm/dd/yyyy-mm/dd/yyyy
  • Next is a dropdown list of searchable fields. By default, FastFrame searches all fields, but if you want to narrow your search you can select a specific field here to search.
  • Finally, we have the “Search” button which does the search (duh!) and the “List All” button which clears your search.

The List Page

Whenver you search for something using the above search bar you will be taken to a list page with the results of your search. Each row is a result from your search and you can use the icons on the left-hand side of each row to perform different actions on the row, such as editing it or deleting it.

Adding a New Item

If you have permission to add a new item you will find an “Add” link in the upper right-hand corner of the list page.

Contextual Help

Throughout FastFrame you’ll see this help icon (unless your system administrator has disabled the help feature). Whenever you see this icon it means you can put your mouse over the icon and a note will pop up explaining that aspect of the system.

Logging Out

When you are finished using FastFrame you should always be sure to log out by clicking on the “Logout” icon in the left-hand menu.
